ADOLESCENTS & TEENS
Most teens ages 12–18 are trying to figure out who they are while keeping up with school, friendships, family expectations, and life online. That’s a lot to handle, and it can sometimes lead to anxiety, depression, stress, or feeling overwhelmed.
When your teen comes to see me, I’m their therapist — not your spy. What they share in therapy is private. This confidentiality is important because it helps teens feel safe enough to open up honestly and get the support they need.
There are a few important exceptions to confidentiality. I’m required to report suspected child or elder abuse, and I will step in if there are concerns about safety, including self-harm, dangerous behavior, or threats to hurt themselves or someone else.
Having that trust and privacy allows me to really get to know your teen and understand what they’re going through. Together, we look at how their experiences affect their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, while building healthy coping skills and confidence along the way.
I help teens with navigating complex emotions including anxiety, depression, identity issues, stress, self-confidence, relationships, major life changes, and trauma.
