disconnected with crossed wires

Lately, it feels like we’re all trying to communicate through a little too much noise. Messages get missed, wires get crossed, and what we mean doesn’t always make it to the other side. Maybe the answer isn’t more noise — maybe it’s slowing down, listening better, and finding our way back to each other.

understanding the patterns that shape us

Across every stage of life, we are learning how to understand ourselves, regulate emotions, and navigate relationships. Over time, we develop patterns — ways of coping, communicating and relating — that often begin as survival strategies but can later feel stuck or unhelpful.

In families, these patterns can become deeply ingrained. Even when people want to change, it can be difficult to shift what has been practiced for years.

Therapy offers a space to slow down, notice patterns with curiosity rather than blame, and begin creating new ways of responding, connecting, and relating.

THIS ISN’T WORKING

You’ve been holding everything together for so long that you may not even notice how much it’s costing you. Pushing feelings down, avoiding discomfort, or staying stuck in overthinking can slowly leave you disconnected from yourself, exhausted, and unsure of what you actually need.

Anxiety keeps your mind spinning. Depression can make you feel numb, distant, or heavy in ways that are hard to explain. And the longer you ignore what’s underneath, the harder it becomes to trust yourself or feel grounded in your own life.

something has gotta change

The goal isn’t to feel happy all the time. It’s to better understand your emotions, recognize how they shape your thoughts and reactions, and learn how to stay present with discomfort instead of feeling controlled by it. Life may not look the way you imagined, and change can feel overwhelming, but small shifts in awareness and understanding can begin to create real movement.

unlearn survival mode

As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and Board Certified Art Therapist, I meet you where you are — not where you think you should be.

Together, we’ll explore the anxiety, depression, overwhelm, or self-criticism that’s keeping you stuck.

My approach is client-centered, relational, and insight-oriented. We’ll work to understand the patterns and experiences shaping your life and create goals that feel authentic and sustainable.

THIS IS MY INNER CHILD

I couldn’t imagine graduating kindergarten, let alone becoming an adult. I never would have believed I’d travel the world, spend a decade as a creative director, or leave the stable life I built to return to graduate school and become an art therapist.

Back then, I didn’t have words like bisexual, pronouns, or Latina. I only knew I wanted to feel safe being myself.

If you had told my younger self any of this, she probably would have blinked at you and gone back to coloring.
